These things are killing me. Really need this thing on the road tomorrow, but it doesn't look like that will happen.

New problem... One of the two things that slide (sliders???) where the caliper mounting bolts go through is stuck. (One is stuck on both sides.) Any tips on unsticking these?

After another go at dealing with these I think I may have to buy new stuff. Was searching this site yesterday and found an ebay link for rebuilt calipers cheap. Heading that direction I think.

I pounded like hell on those things. I'm sure there must be a better way, maybe some trick with a C-clamp, but I couldn't figure it out. Never did unstick them and went ahead and ordered a pair off ebay for $35.00 including shipping. They include pads too so I can return the pads I bought and get $20 back. Car has been on stands all week, but I saved gas money taking the bus to work. Going to assemble tomorrow morning.

i didnt use a rubber mallet i used a small sledge hammer i proped the cailper up on one side with a 2x4 and stuck a deep socket under the slider and hammered the hell outta it till it ended up in the socket
