Any documentation for the GH Mazda 6 with respect to: -

Dashboard mode (trip meter, Ave. Mileage, Calibration, etc)
Audio mode (audio test, etc)

I remember it being discussed here before but I think it was for the Mazda 3. Search for some posts from a member named Cherry. Maybe that can help you.

Anyone here have details? There are 2 test modes, dashboard test mode and audio test mode.

Dashboard - diagnostic, on/off things like trip, Average km/l etc
Audio - diagnostic etc.

On newer Mazda's, options on the CF-net.

Availability of such documents are listed below. Anyone with links, please post here.

1st Gen Mazda 6 audio test mode

2nd Gen Mazda 6 GH audio test mode

Press the start button to either ACC or ON
Turn on the radio as usual
Press the Radio POWER button again but do not release

With the Radio POWER botton held, you can try the following tests independently: -

1)Press Auto-M and wait 2 secs - test all speaker diagnostic begins (you can hear only speakers being tested)
2)Press Rdm (Random) and wait 2 secs - audio diagnostic codes display (if ok, displayed on LCD 10901-5550OK
3)Press Track down (M) - "L" appears...donoo what that is...
4) Press 2, you get the attena sensitivity setting (in our case, LEV-09)
5) Press 5, you get displayed M-02...dunoo what that is...
6) Press AM, you get displayed ANT-ON...dunno what that is

Anyway, any one knows how to change the settings?
To stop all diagnostics or get out of test mode, switch off the radio.

Dashboard Test mode for m3/m6
For changing certain options on the Dash, you need Test mode, here is how:

1) Push and hold the TRIP on instrument dash cluster
2) Put key in ignition and switch to ON (dont start the vehicle). keyless systems, just press the start button twice to get to ON.
3) Wait until TEST is displayed in the screen on the instrument cluster.

01 - Test to ensure all dash lights are off
02 - Test to ensure the meters (tacho, speedo, fuel, temp) are working
03 - Test to
04 - Test to DIS (display function) - on of off
05 - Test to
06 - Test to ensure all lights on the dash are working.

To exit, just switch off the car.
