Pictures were too big so i downloaded them to my cardomain page. Installed flying M emblem on the trunk and OEM wind deflectors on the doors. Painted sideskirts, hoodscoop, sidemirrors, and ducktail to match the cars color.

Looks good, but I hate the wheel gap and hoodscoop.
<3 the ducktail though!

Riding a little high for my taste also, but then so is my car. ;) Overall it looks great! I really like the ducktail spoiler as well.

The side skirts look odd for some reason. You need to get cracking on a set of JDM bumpers + rear skirts / front lip.

Did you put a hole in the hood for the scoop to be functional?

I actually quite like the look of that scoop as well (makes me wish I kept it with the second bonnet it came on I could've got for $50). Matching ducktail is subtle but noticeble too.

Overall. It's lookin' real nice. Good job. :)

i did put a hole on the hood and added a mesh similar to my grille to prevent bigger debri going in.

+1

I realy like the subtleness of the ducktail painted to match though. I think it would look better molded though.
Also you should take out your tag number on your cardomain(lastpic 1st page)

Cerville, the door mouldings have to come off. They don't look right with the side skirt and the side skirt doesn't look right because it is lower then the front and rear bumper. Just my opinion bro. You are almost there Cerville. Looks good as always.

so +3 on you needing a front and rear lip.

wonder how long that post'll last though.

Might sound odd but I like the ducktail black. It blends so much with the car now that I almost don't notice it at all.

Like others have said the sideskirts look odd without a lower front and rear bumper/lip. So now you have to get the front/rear part of a body kit.

loganss,

i think i would rather spend on an engine swap than spend money on shipping the front and rear JDM bumpers. i think i will try and get the rear skirt and have 95protege fab them.

That'll work and be cheaper too. I was thinking of waiting until my Z5 turned to dust before I swap the engine.

Not a good idea unless you dont depend on the car to be running. Because if its your only mode of transport, when the Z5 blows you'll be desperate to get it running ASAP so you would either repair it or do a half ass BP swap.

Yeah I agree with that.

I currently rely on the 6 to get me where I need to go. My g/f uses my protege for the time being. :( If the protege breaks down, she can go to work on the bus and I can pick her up after work. So no probs there.

Now all I need to do is get money to grow on trees. Until that happens I'll have to wait a few years for the bp swap.

I definitley agree with san blaster. Take a day and take off those side mouldings!
Shes moving along very nicely. And i like how the ducktail blends with the trunk now, and would definitley looks great if you molded it in, and maybe removed the rear emblem to really get it smooth.

And as for BP swap stuff, I would definitley go that route before i spend any more money on exterior items. I actually plan on doing that in the next year or two, if it fits into my budget. I actually plan on investing in a 2003/2003.5 Mazdaspeed protege in the coming spring, and using my current pro as a winter car, so i can actually take the thing out and take my time doing a swap and not have to worry about not having a car.

I think if you want to run the Z5 until you can't anymore, buy a BP right now, and put it on an engine stand so you can work on it anyways, and have it ready for a relatively quick drop in when the Z5 is ready to go. If you got the wiring done ahead of time I bet you could do the swap in no time.

That's tough to do living the apt life. Looks like late 2008 is when I search for a house.

I lived in an apartment for 3 months.
I did a strut replacement,headgasket,oil change.
And I had about $200 worth of car parts in the closet/storage room.
Just cover it with a sheet. Or put a lamp on it and say its a table.
Be a sweet looking end table:)

+1 for 98bwpro.....not many people would be able to say they have a 1.8L DOHC table.

haha, I do have the remainder of a 93 B6 on my apartments back porch. and i pretty much had a complete Z5 head....but it was FUBAR. I think i stashed one of the cams in an attempt one day to make a lamp out of it.

Once im done with school around thanksgiving, i have alot of projects to play catch-up on. I'll be finishing my Firebird, and replacing my carpet, seat covers, and headliner in my pro. and saving up for a MSP. THe BP isn't a priority at the moment...maybe next winter or the one after?
