Roly-poly left turns now make my front something go *pop* (well, more of a *ptoing*) that is pretty loud.

It's not a lateral motion thing - it doesn't happen if I'm just turning the wheels, but it does happen when I jack up the left front corner and the wheel drops. I wiggled random things under there and tried to take a quick look but I have no idea what it actually is.:headscratch:
Whatever it is though, I'd like to fix it ASAP, before something worse happens as a result.

Ptoing? Well, that sounds like the coil. Last time I had a similar problem, the coil had been put in upside down, or so the mechanic said. Mine, however, would do that with the car flat on the ground and turning it to the right. I could literally see the coil suddenly jolt with the noise with someone else turning the steering wheel. It could have just been improperly seated but not upside down. This may reguire taking all the assembly out, taking off the strut mount and then re-seating the coil. A new strut mount couldn't hurt. It could even be the culprit, itself.
